Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wauseon by IHG

Home away from Home. This particular Holiday inn Express has been our go to Haven for visits back to see friends and family in the area. This year was pleasantly surprised to see all the updates and overhauls and reduced they have done in the facility top to bottom! If you haven't stayed in this Holiday inn Express in a couple years you will be pleasantly surprised to revisit it. The crew is top-notch professional courteous and friendly. The hotel rooms have been completely redone and modernized. The common areas have all been completely updated. The breakfast bar remains one of the best I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. Thank you Holiday inn Express in wauseon!

Great facilities and fantastic staff. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Rooms were a nice size and clean, beds were comfortable. Great breakfast with a good variety of things to eat. Nice amenities including a hot tub. Even more importantly, the staff I dealt with there were fantastic in many ways: Unfortunately I didn't write down the name of the person who checked me in the afternoon of 7/5. She was cheerful, recognized my wife as a rewards member and made the check-in process very smooth. Even more importantly to me is that she went out of her way to help be with a problem I had with hotel reservations I had accidently made using a 3rd party booking website - thinking it was the Holiday Inn website. I had tried to cancel those reservations but that 3rd party website didn't execute my request. In the end, I ended up having 2 sets of reservations to the same hotel. She did some initial research on this issue and documented her findings for her manager Donna Harris who wasn't on duty at that time. The next day Donna resolved my problem in a way that I only ended up paying for one set of reservations. There was no help on this from the 3rd partly website, it was the Holiday Inn staff who resolved this problem for me. I'm forever grateful to both of them for their help in preventing me from having to pay for 2 sets of reservations. They both went above and beyond on this and I hope they are recognized in some way for their superior customer service.

Rooms were very clean. Is recently and still going thru a remodel. Pool was great for the kids Needed extra towels not very many in room The staff was great. Noemie checked us in and was GREAT

Top to Bottom, One of the best Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in... I Watched and experienced much of the staff do an excellent job, during our stay while the fair was in town. They were busy, & managed to take care of all their guests, with patience, style, and grace! Special shout out to Sarah, Bri, & Harley who managed the front desk in a manner that shows upper management has excellent judgement, and training skills. They were Awesome! The breakfast bar was pretty good too. Try the Cinnamon buns, they beat Belgian waffles, hands down. Lol Thanks for everything. You guys are the best!

Good location. Nice and quiet. The hotel was undergoing renovations when we stayed there.

Super convenient off the highway and they have just renovated their rooms! The first floor is still under renovations, but doesn’t impact your stay. They have done all they can to ensure guests are not inconvenienced. Very friendly staff and welcoming. The rooms are updated, but a little thrown together. And no coffee maker in the room was a bummer. But it is a very clean and friendly place to stop off the highway!

No idea why this hotel is rated so low -totally disagree, especially after their recent renovation. Wish I could post a pic of it without my daughter in it. The room was new, clean, huge tv, the pool and jacuzzi were phenomenal and super clean, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Good location-stuff just down the road.
